04 rx 330 , 2wd, no nav. on the lower edge of the dash are the switches for tracion control off, tire pressure reset and height set. in my owners manual those are items 34 , 35 and 36 in the picture .

my car does not appear to have height control so there is no switch there but a couple inches to the left of that position is a lttle yellow light that never goes off. there is no indication of it in the controls picture in the manual....

anyone know what that is ? and whether its supposed to be on or off ?

thats the light to the left of the trac off and tp reset switches...

 

Floor lighting. Goes out with the vehicle running and it is put into gear. Put it park and it comes back on, again.

 

That is a courtesy light that activates when you open the driver door. The light will remain illuminated as long as the door is open and should turn off approximately 10 seconds after the driver door closes.

 

I think a change was made with the introduction of the RX350. I checked this while the vehicle was parked in the garage. I never started the vehicle. Open the driver door the light comes on. Close the door the light goes out about ten seconds later.
