Would you buy tires from FleaBay (aka ebay)?
Disclaimer: Please don't throw any tomatoes at me, I'm just asking a question . . . .
I was just happen to look on eBay and I saw some one offering new PIRELLI tires for a really low price. Pirelli makes excellent tires, I had some on a Honda in the past with no complaints.
The advertisement is for a NEW pair, ( 2 tires) for $250. To me it sounds too good to be true. The tire is 235 / 50 / 18 and I know the factory tires are 235 / 55 / 18. At tirerack, a similar tire goes for $205 for one.

In short, no. Not those. The seller seems legit but there are no refunds plus there is a 20% restock fee. What is the date code on these tires? They may be new, however, they may also have been sitting around for awhile.
Are you just trying to save money?
The load rating at 97 is below the 99 for the OEM 18" tires. Not something I would skimp on there.

Pole Position
I had good luck one time that I did, my F150 had crappy tires and steel wheels...found four Michelin LTX with aluminum wheels on fleabay (knock offs) and paid $500 total for the four wheels and tires shipped to my house...They still had air in them and were balanced....Just threw them on and my truck was like new....tires had less than 50 miles on them...

Instead I'm considering these from tire rack.

Thanks Rx330inFL. It's just that NY City streets are so bad on tires. A friend and I had a heated discussion about NY and NJ streets, and she said at least NJ repair their roads, NYC put a little tar down or better yet, put big metal plates over pot holes. It's sad but true. Or if the road gets redone, Con Edison (local utility company) will come by a month later and dig the street. *sigh*

I am looking at replacements for my Michelins.
Been looking at Kumho, Falken, Alenza or Michelin again. Kumho is Korean and Falken (by Sumitomo) is Japanese (as well as Bridgestone Alenza). Yokohama's are good, too.
But the best value for the buck is either Falken or Kumho. H or V rated tires.
