Question Rear tires question

So pretty much I got a flat tire the other day and I don't have the money to buy a new pair of back tires, I went to a used tire place and they have a pair of 245/40/18's, but the stock back tires are 255, should I do it or not? One of my friends told me no, but they want both tires for 120 , until I get te money to buy new ones, they are bridgestone potenzas

They'll work. Can't remember the aspect on the stock tires for the back, but if you're in dire need of some tires it's better to have something with tread than something that's worn out.

it'll work. your tires will be spinning at different rates base upon the tire calculator. but i think our car will be able to tell and send more power to different wheels? (VDIM?).

The vdim will notice the difference since both tires are getting changed. Your stretch is that great cause the difference is only 10mm.

If your buying used make sure there aren't any patches done to the tires or retreads. Get a warranty in writing that on those tires if it is coming from a tire shop.

Check the classified part of the forum. Someone might be selling new tires

For now its ok but it will look kinda weird, your fender gap will be slightly bigger, if you dont care for looks then that will do until you get the cash to get new ones
