Try the dealership, it might just be a faulty height sensor. LS430 air suspension can get erratic at times. How did you deflate the bags? Do you have an air controller?

Welcome to Club Lexus.

At least it sounds like you do not have a leak as the height stayed up until you released the air from the system. That is a good sign. Have to concur with waijai in that it may just be a sensor. HtownBlue is probably our resident expert on the air suspension, however, we do not see him all that often. Here is one of his threads you might find of interest.

You might try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to see if the system will reset itself. Note that you will need to reset your windows and sunroof as discussed in the URL above.

Take a moment to search the forums here. There are plenty of threads on the topic of air suspension. Perhaps you will find something else of note.

Probably a faulty sensor or a broken support bracket. Both can cause that same symptom. I've experienced both (and one busted suspension).

Unfortunately for us, the sensor and the bracket is an assembly and is not cheap. About US$400 in Sewell lexus: http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...X330-2004.html

You can save on the labor if you're handy.
