No idea on the noise, are you able to track it down some. Does it happen when you adjust the wheel? Some simple lubrication possibly?

It it like a clicking noise? I've started to experience that on occasion.

i haven't had chance to take it apart yet, and it is loud motor noise. i am hoping it is simple lubrication.

My telescopic motor is also much noisier when it's cold. Sort of sounds like the motor is struggling under a heavier load. I've tried lubrication/grease but that didn't make any difference. Not sure what the problem is and the dealer didn't seem to think it could be repaired. I didn't ask for the replacement cost but I'm sure it will be a few bucks.

did you lube it yourself? or had the dealer work on it?
if you've done it yourself, did you find where noise was coming from? when did you get it lubed?

I did the lube about a year ago, and just did whatever gears I could see after removing the steering column covers. Not sure if shims or anything else can be done. Thought I saw a thread somewhere on that but couldn't find it back.
