Default Where to run power cable through firewall?

Heya guys, i want to run an 8 guage power cable from the battery to the boot for an amplifier. which route did you take through the firewall? I see a rather sizable grommet that is tightly sealed on the passenger side (LHS in australia) that's up high in the engine bay. I'm not inclined to use this as it is nicely sealed with the oem plastic holders firmly keeping the seal intact. Preferably i'd like to be able to return the car to a near factory state if I had to.

Is there another easy route into the cabin? Pics would be great if you've done it before.

Many thanks

Unfortunately I don't have pictures of mine. The installer removed the dash to run a line in my 330. It was all hidden by the panels so it was out of sight. Funny thing is I have the opposite problem in my 450h. I'd like to run a line from the cargo area (boot) where the battery is located to the front hood (bonnet) to power the HIDs without having to go that route again.

I would run it through that grommet as clean as you can and then seal up the hole with some silicone.
