That is why a lot of preventative maintenance items could be done in 15 minutes and save you lots of money. Use Ebay, Rockauto.com, etc to get the needed parts at a great discount, and find out just how much you are being ripped off. I am teaching my granddaughters how to do these things so that the money can stay in their purses....
on thisA lot of the maintenance items can be done at home in under 15 minutes. Air filters cost like $10-30 at Autozone and an oil filter and 5 qts of synthetic cost $30.
The other items on the list is simply inspection. Not sure why the dealership charges so much, you can do it yourself or have done by an independent shop for a few hundred dollars.
