Default Backseat Door Problem

Hi, Not sure if anyone has this and try to do a search but to no avail, I have one door on the backseat that is making a weird noise when I open it, its not smooth like the other one, its on the passenger side backseat door, even when I close it, I have to give it an extra umph or it doesn't close properly, seems like the lock switch is not getting hit unless you push it in hard? and when opening it, it makes a loud click before it opens, like it is hard to get it to open up? Do you think some WD40 would do the trick, that is just missing oil? or is there a door alignment problem?

I'd wonder if there is a hinge issue. Maybe try a clean and lube but I'd look to see if part of the hinge is broken.

IMO, WD40 is not a good lubricant for door hinges. You could use it for cleaning and good penetration but I'd use something like a white lithium grease.

Agreed, WD40 is not a great lubricant. I also try to avoid white lithium grease as it has a tendency to harden over time. Try to use a silicone spray when possible.

Liquid Wrench and 3M are two that come to mind. Gunk has a new line out as well.

Have you tried this one? I haven't seen any hardening with this product.

I suspect there are good and bad quality white lithium greases.

I use a dry lube spray (liquid wrench I think)... Dust does not seem to be as attracted to it.

Was cleaning the car today, doing a window and vinyl cleaning, and saw that in the backseat door area, the rubber lining was coming off a little and thus making it hard to close the door, i was able to put the lining back and fully pressed it back in so now the door is fine, thanks for all the suggestions
