What a find!!
Just had to share the car I found and bought yesterday.
2005 RX Bamboo/Pearl/Tan interior Nav, 18" wheels, etc
I've been looking across the US for 2 years trying to find a low mileage version of this very car. I've been driving an '04 Silver with black interior, (which I consider the black hole of interior colors- can't see a damn thing down there).
So I'm at the Toyota dealership with my wife looking for a Rav4 for her. There sat the very color combo RX I like. I almost didn't look at it closely, because, what was the chance it would have low miles?
I stroll on over while she's test driving, and WTF!!!?? A 2005 with 15,000 miles?
Yes it was true. It's basically a new car, even smells like it. An elderly couple traded it in because it was too wide for their garage. They drove it 2,400 miles per year after buying it new.
I must have good Carma, cause I traded my 04 with 50K miles on it (which I stole from a fellow who didn't know what he had (performance package). I paid the clueless fellow $18,900 for it, drove it a year, and just traded it for $24K in credit towards the new one. The sticker was $32K which was right at KBB, but I didn't complain one bit!
May the same luck befall you.
