2004 RX330. The check engine light and the VSC is on. It's throwing code P0352. Change all spark plugs. Still have problem. There's a slight hesitation. Also, there was a previous code for cylinder 2 misfire. Is the ignition coil dead in cylinder 2? If you're looking at the engine, is the cylinder #2 on the far bottom left?

cyliner 2 is the first cylinder on the passenger side of the car facing the radiator...

Is it easier to replace the coil yourself since it is #2.

Bolt Holding coil is 10mm. Take engine cover off (hex/alan style bolt heads). Disconnect the coil wire. Remove bolt on coil. Pull coil out. Replace. Put bolt back in. Attach coil wire. Place engine cover back on. Done.

I suppose I dont need to reset the CEL light afterwards, if the coil replacement indeed fixes the problem,
it will go out by itself, correct?

The "code" lights will still be on until you clear them. Most scanners now a days can clear the code history. Replace the coil, clear the code, and see if it comes back on after the engine/ecu cycles a few times.

Any other way to clear the code light beside the scanner?
Will disconnecting the battery for longer time work?

Try disconnecting the battery for at least a few hours (negative and positive). I think that will reset the ECU, but not sure.

replaced new oem coil(one of those that has Toyota marking, but does not come in the red toyota box), disconnected battery while doing it. CEL didnt come back, guess it is working. Thanks!

Good to hear friend. Now you know how to do it for the future. You'll likely have one or two more go out at some point in the future if you keep the car long enough.

only disconnected the battery for like 30 mins. The CEL light didnt come back. Maybe the code is still there, dont bother to ask the shop
read it(even though it's free).

Before the fix when I disconnected the battery,
CEL goes out temporarily and comes back within an hr of driving.

If it lights up again, I hope it is still front bank.
If rear bank, I prob take it back to the dealer as they might
be able to get factory helped out part of it. Is it the right approach?

Your information helped me out a great deal. The last time my ignition coil went bad it cost me $400 at the dealership. This time, I ran the scan code myself and this thread help me locate the correct coil, and after replacing it and removing the error the check engine light is finally gone.
