I've only seen a few that have this trim - and only seen photos online...but by those - the trim looks solid black.

So the simple question is - in person, does this actually look like wood - or is it just black? I don't think I would like solid black or having it so dark you could tell if it was a wood trim or not.

 

Its like Black Burlwood. I have it and think its awesome, its like black marble. Very sharp looking IMO

Thanks! Looks like I found mine today and am in the midst of doing the deal. Not the black birds eye trim, but it does sound pretty cool!

 

Check out the Lexus Rx Thundercloud edition's they all came with this this interior.

 

It just looks like gloss black to me. I dont really see the pattern. If I look really close then yeah, its there. Black wood on light gray ftw.

 

My point exactly - it's just black in photos... at one point I though maybe it was the "Sport" trim, being just black. But I'm sure it looks really nice in person.

 

I have it in my car. It just looks gloss black to me unless the sun is shining directly at it.
