I would have thought you installed them already Good luck with that. I'm sure they'll look great.

Those look great!

My two problems with the armrest are that it's slightly too high for me and not long enough. Are these just wider or are they also a little longer? Would the hardware that comes with them allow for them to be installed a little lower (an inch or so)?

Thanks!

I don't think they are noticeably longer.

No. If you look at pictures 5 and 6, you'll see that the wide armrest brackets fit on the metal piece that's permanently installed on the side of the seat.

They use the same hardware to attach to the side of the seat as the original, so it cannot be moved up or down any more than the original. Mine is about an inch longer than the original, which is not very noticeable.

Depends on how badly you want to do it. A fab shop could insert an inch of metal in the existing bracket or make you a new one. If you cut the existing bracket at an angle between the attaching points for the seat and the rest it would be simple to weld in the new piece.

You could even weld in an L shape which could move it down and forward an inch or two giving you the lower, longer rest you want.

If I get around to doing the install today I will take a photo of the size difference side by side.

Thanks for the input... I've just had my car a couple of weeks, so I'm hoping I'll get used to the armrest, but, if not, I might just see if I can have someone modify the bracket or make a new one for me.

Infinirx - I'd love to see pics of the size difference if you get a chance to post them... thanks!

You're not going to use them again, stick a screw driver as far in as you can and push up and pull back until you get enough to pull out by hand. I had no trouble on the 330 but on the 300 getting those caps off was the hardest part.

^^ yeah ended up doing that out of trial and error. So I had installed one wrong and had to redo it but over all it's done (I think). Over all I am relieved I am done cause I did allot of small mods today.

They are VERY comfortable and not hard to just throw them both up and access the console if needed. However I am a tad disappointed by the gap in the front end. I thought maybe I installed wrong again? Other than that the color is a great match, the leather is quality and I think I will be happy.

Crappy low light pics I know.

Before I forget here is your comparison from the OEM ones....

Ooooh! Thanks for posting that pic... the extra length will make it a lot more comfortable for me, so I'm gonna go for it!
