RX 350 headlamp moisture
Hi,
Seems headlamp moisture has been an ongoing problem in the RX series. I have this issue in the left headlight on a '07 RX 350 which is unfortunately out of warranty as it has 60k+ miles on it. Has anyone been successful in getting this fixed by Lexus with the vehicle out of warranty?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Mandy,
I was struggling initially (hard to believe I could miss the 'search' menu for so long) but just now found your previous post - awesomely detailed - thank you!

Before you take the headlamp apart I suggest that you try to seal the top of the headlamp, that's the source of the leak in my case. It will save you tons of time and aggravation.

There is a class action lawsuit regarding the defective Lexus Headlamps and Moisture. Check it out!

Somebody should do their homework before posting pictures on a website. They're showing a 2010+ 450h. Duh! I had condensation in both headlights of my '04. The dealer replaced them under warranty without batting an eye. Wish it was easier for everyone else.
After perusing the class action filing I'd recommend that anyone with a 2004-2007 RX monitor this lawsuit. It is possible that even if Lexus has replaced your headlight(s) for free the issue may recur. Additionally, anyone who's done a DIY fix may still have water damage such as rusting of the ballast.
The filing alleges that the fix for this issue may only delay the recurrence of the problem. With replacement (parts & labor) running in the region of $2,000 per headlight it would be nice if Lexus would stand behind it's product!
