I guess so. Just got an update and looks like they just started working on it yesterday. Parts have been ordered and will come in today and will be installed today...

There were warranty issues that I complained about and this is the reason for the extended stay.

1. Tranny Shift enhancement update (Emission related, 7 years, 72K miles).
2. Gurgling noise on the center stack (defective temp control motor).
3. Driver seat issue, plastic sticking out, this is like an insert where the seat rides on.

My Platinum warranty expires 01/27th, shoot!

Wish me luck.

I took the car in with an empty tank and got a full tank of gas after the recall was done. This is Longo Lexus. I could care less who paid the gas as long as it isn't me.

True, i agree, who cares. but the reason i want to know is this, if lexus canada is paying and it doesnt get filled, i can go back for it and complain. if its the dealer doing it, and it doesnt get done, i cant really complain.

heres hoping its the corporate level.

Brake recall was done. Plus other warranty issues.

Car was washed and filled with gas. In the service description, wash and fill gas were part of recall. If they did not do it, complain.

Think that is a service that the dealer does and not a function of the recall. If you go to a true Lexus dealer that puts service first you get the tank of gas if you go to a service department that does crappy work and the lease amount of customer service you might get a car wash but that its. This kind of dealership looks to make the most profit from any work done. And they are Lexus store out there like this. They one that I got my 450h from is in that sad boat greed price but I will let the Toyota store service the car and will never take it back to that Lexus store if I have to have warranty work done it is off the New Orleans (150 miles away) for any work.

I thought it was the dealership offering free gas and car wash to incentive you, to bring your car to their place of business for the recall.

Always get the car wash at the local dealer, but did get the full tank of gas this time (for the first time), so I would assume it is related to the recall.

Got my gas tank filled for brake recall.

The saddest part is my loaner 2011 rx350 with 2300 miles on it, with remote start having problem trying to drive back to the dealer to get my car back.
As soon I touched the start engine button at the dash, the dash lit up with battery, brake and engine lights on, so called the emergency service, they advised me with the remote stay close the start engine button with foot on the brake, what a hassle finally drove the car back, what an impression with brand
new car having problem.
The emergency guy asked me to tell the car battery is weak or the remote is not working right.

The service ticket includes car wash and gas tank fill up. It is going in for reimbursement to Toyota.

Has anyone in DFW had success with getting gas tank filled up for this recall (which dealership)?

Do you have to mention filling the gas to the advisor.

Dealers always require u to put premium gas, so I am sure they'll fill it with Premium as well.

Did they do Item#1 (tranny update)? If so, do you notice the change?
