2RX Master Tint Thread (merged discussions)
I failed a safety inspection once because of "limo" tint on a used car I bought. I ended up out in the parking lot with a razor blade scraping the two front windows so I could get my sticker.
I ended up going with 35% after all, and I'm glad I did. 20% might be more of a closer match, but I think 20% might have looked too dark.
I'm happy with 35%, no problems with cops, and no regrets. It definitely smoothes out the RX lines and overall makes the vehicle look nicer.

I just recently got the windows tinted on our rx, they are 20% on the front two. also ive never put up pics of this car so i figured this would be a good chance haha
Ya i wasn't sure at first but its grown at me. I was always against tinted windows, then i got it done on my es just to keep the sun out and prevent people from looking into my car since i was aways parking in the city, so then i did it to the lx, and now to the rx. I didn't realize how dark the OEM back windows were into i got the front ones tinted.
We only go to northtown for warranty work or major services. For oil changes we go to delta sonic or i do them. For brakes we go to my dads patient, and for random stuff like sensors ect we either go to United Auto on Sheridan or Louie's Car Clinic on Main in Clarence. Northtown is great, but overpriced. Everyonce in a while i'll bring the cars there for an oil change just because they are very nice to us and have done a bunch of work for free for our cars even when our warranties were over And do you by any chance live near Fox Valley Country club on Genesee? I am always out that way
