Default Dipping rear wiper arm

So, I've noticed that the rear wiper arm on our 2006 RX330 has started to dip lower and lower and the end tip of it is now clear on the door edge. Should I look into replacing the assembly or there's something that can be done to adjust it? Any experiences? Suggestions?

I can imagine what you're saying but not sure how to fix it. I would think if you can take it off you can adjust it back up so it sits like it should, BICBW.

yeah, I might as well dig in there and have a look. I just thought that maybe someone might have had experience with this and could tell me if there's a part required or something. thanks for the comment.

I figured, the picture is worth a thousand words. I'll snap one once the car is back.

The curious thing is that why it slid. You can take it off and re-install. But if we do not know the root cause, then it can slide down again.

Interesting point but I, personally, do not remember the last time I went through one. Need to address this with the missus. Thanks for the tip on the cause. Now I have to address and fix the issue.

car is back, so before taking a picture I tried to wiggle the wiper up by moving it up a bit. it kind of snapped in place and now, even if I gently try to push it down it'll just stay in position like it should. weird... I won't go and start ripping the interior apart to look at the mechanism now. i am going to watch and see if by using it it'll start to dip again and report back.

Sounds to me like somebody helped it into that position! Oh,next time be very careful moving it like that, you can easily break/strip something that way. (hopefully their wont be a next time)

right, it sounds like someone must have pushed it down. my son is neither old enough or tall enough to do it. I have a sneaking suspicion it could be a neighbor's kid who's been known to wonder around cars and do stupid stuff.

well, the reason I suspect this is because, he used to come from a baseball game, would run up to my car (audi a4, sold), jump on the hood and slide off of it cleats and all! I was wondering for several weeks what all the scratches were from - thought an animal (well, I was right, I guess)... until another neighbor saw this kid do that and told me. I had to make the parents pay for the compound and polish work...

I admire your patience and good attitude. You are a much better person than I am. I would have wallopped the kid - probably several times...
