Car Will Not Unlock - Help!! Also Continual Battery Problems.
I have a 2004 RX330 with about 85k miles. Every time I return from a one-two week trip, my car is completely dead and will not start so I have to call AAA to either charge it or change it out. Well, this time I return from a two week trip and I can't even get into my car because it won't unlock! I also tried unlocking it manually numerous times with absolutely no luck. I can tell that my battery is once again dead because the light isn't even flashing, but now I can't even get into the car with my key.
Unfortunately, my car is no longer under warranty as of the fall so of course everything's going wrong with it now. Concerning my battery problem, I've read various postings about this, have also talked to people, and also had it checked out with no luck in diagnosis. But it not manually unlocking is ridiculous! I cannot wait to unload this car. Until I can finally get rid of it, please help! Thank you in advance for your help.

Original battery? A seven year old battery might be the issue. Also I wonder if you leave the wipers and headlights on automatic when you park it for extended periods. Lexus recommends you shut them off, BTW.
BTW, welcome to the forum.

Try locking with key (not the remote) and walk over to all the three doors. Once each lock sets one way (lock or unlock) then the electronic lock system will uncouple from the .
Jump starts are not kind to the vehicle.
We all get busy in our like, but next time attend to the problem at the onset. Most problems do not go away and expense to fix will most likely increase with time.

sounds like you have a parasitic draw somewhere. if you are handy with a multimeter, google parasitic draw test and perfrom one, otherwise take it to a shop to have one done.
something on board is drawing enough power to kill the battery (obviously). it can be something simple as a door no being closed or a dome light being left on, perhaps an aftermarket accessory not wired correctly (or should be removed) i have seen door switches go bad and cause the same thing. once i even saw a bad passenger side front door locking switch go bad (took forever to track down).
this could be an expensive fix, but you dont really have a choice

I know a guy who had a bad alternator that was discharging the battery when parked. Took many shops a long time to figure it out. Changed it and all is fixed so make sure that you test it.

Pull the battery and have it tested "under load" at auto supply store. I had a problem that I thought was a parasitic draw on my work truck. It turned out as a bad battery. Do the easy part first - check the battery!

First things first, he needs to do is pop up the hood and for that he needs to unlock one of the three entry ways.
