Default How do you adjust headlights?

Had the front bumper cover and a headlight replaced. I thought that the lights previously had been aimed to low. That very distinct cutoff on the low beams seemed to limit the distance the beam covered out in front. So, I asked that they aim them higher while they were messing around aligning them.

Now, they are too high. Where are the adjusters, which direction do I turn them to move them downwards and can you equate adjuster rotations to inches or such to estimate how much each turn on the adjuster will pull the light down?

Default Pics would be nice

Apparently there are two components to turn, a top screw and a bottom nut from something I read about this a long time ago. Pics would be useful.

Actually, if you do a search you will find instructions and pictures. There is one adjusting screw on the back of the headlights, near the top, between the two (low and high) reflectors. If you have HID lights, there is also an 'automatic' adjustment for load (how loaded the car is, which changes the pitch). This is just above the left rear suspension, and can be adjusted manually (to set the correct level) and then it maintains that level, correcting for load. It is a rheostat or potentiometer which is linked by lever to part of the suspension. When the suspension compresses, the lever lifts, and the potentiometer changes the value, thus sending a signal to the motors in the HID lights to adjust them accordingly - and vice-versa. The lever's position can be adjusted.
If you have HID lights, various posts seem to imply that the 'best' adjustment is done via adjusting the lever (in no small part, probably, because it adjusts both lights equally at the same time). Otherwise, you need to adjust each light separately, which is more difficult to do accurately. Since you just indicate that your lights (both??) are too low or too high, I would assume the preferred adjustment - if have HIDs - would be at teh suspension rheostat. Good luck!
