Wiper inserts are not that expensive. I bought 3 sets for the front and 2 for the rear. I have used up all of them. Next time I go shopping @ Sewell or Carson-Lex, I will get refills.

Mandyfig: I noticed you have a 2007RX. I am astonished that you have needed so many wiper refills. I had a previous 99RX300 (and have a 1+ year old RX350), and was amazed at the long life off the Lexus wipers. How is it that yours seem to last so little? (Weather?)
I guess I shouldn't mention I changed all of the wipers twice a year Yes, I cleaned them every time I washed the car and used Rain-X on the windows. There was something about having fresh wiper blades after a full detail...
Thats probably going to change though. After checking into the price of the inserts for the '10, I have a feeling I will be extending it a little longer. $6 is nothing!

To each their own - and I fully understand the satisfaction of knowing one has everything pristine.... In my case, the RX300 wipers lasted 5 years without streaking nor squealing, and the RX350 ones are still performing like new. On the one hand, I don't (didn't) use the cars that often, on the other various 'experts' say that wiper 'wear' is actually not dependent on use, just on the constancy of the 'spring' effect pushing down on the rubber. I usually just wait 'til the first hint of streaking, then change....
