Default Passenger Side Mirror Suddenly Changed Color

The passenger side rear view mirror on my '04 RX has suddenly changed color to a bronze tint. Has anyone had this happen to their vehicle? Any thoughts?

I have on 04 that has done the same thing about six months ago. I have no idea why.

If you are still under warranty, they will replace it. If you are call your service advisor.

Well, REPLACE the mirror if it bothers you, which it clearly is doing. Be prepared to replace it soon again though if it's used, as they're all on borrowed time.

Hi, it happened on my '05 RX330, I was told that it was the fluid from the Auto Dimming leaking onto the mirrored glass.
I replaced it with a used OE mirror glass, and it did the same thing 6 months later.
I bought a precut stick-on mirror glass and put it on over the old mirror glass.
It Looks and Works Great!
It just Doesn't Auto-Dim, No Big Deal, and I Don't have to Worry about it happening again!

Default From Amazon

My driver’s side mirror did the same thing when I broke it TWICE! However I don’t believe it’s for auto dimming as the replacement assembly (see below) says they are heated mirrors and the oil is for better heat transfer. Any who, here are some parts you can order on Amazon if you like:

New Replacement Mirror Glass with FULL SIZE ADHESIVE for 2004-2009 LEXUS RX330 RX350 RX400H Passenger Side View Right RH https://a.co/d/cmdMjRg

Worked great as long as you line it up correctly.
They also have replacement mirrors assembled with the heat element for four times the cost.

Brock Replacement Passengers Power Side View Mirror Heated and Memory Compatible with 04-06 RX 330 07-09 RX 350 06-08 RX 400h SUV 879100E011C0 https://a.co/d/4DiWFzs

i don’t know if anyone has had the paint literally fly off the housing but my RX400h had both mirrors do that and it was almost impossible to get paint to stick to them! Had to prime it several times before it did! Just an FYI…

FYI- I put a Stick On Mirror Glass over the Crapped Out Auto Dimming Glass on my 2005 RX330 Side View Mirror and it still Defrosts the Stick On Mirror!
The heating element in the old mirror glass is still Good and the Heat goes thru the Stick on Mirror, and keeps it Defrosted! and that's Great!
