Default Considering the new RX

So I had a 2010 loaner for a day. I really like the interior and the exterior actually grew up in me. I also had a chance to check out the new GX at the dealer. It doesn't look as I expected. I was going to upgrade to the GX but now thinking about the new RX. My only concern now is the ride. I feel like it is stiffer than my 08. This is gonna be for the wife again and she also feels the same. What do you guys think? Is it us or it is because of the new suspension in the 2010? I also noticed the rims are 19" while my 08's are 18. Thanks.

The comfort of the "ride" is a subjective determination. Will you really buy a new car that feels unpleasant to you because "we guys" either like it or don't mind it?
My advice would be to take at least two test rides, both around the neighborhood and on expressways, and drive other crossover SUVs as well. Get something that you like, but don't be in a hurry. Auto dealers of all sorts will be looking for your purchase for quite a while.
On the other hand, the RX remains a top seller both at Lexus dealers (about 40%) and in the segment. In my two test drives of the '10 (after owning an '04 RX for four years), I did not notice a big difference at all, and although there is a new suspension, a change in "ride" does not seem to be a big topic of discussion here.

I also drove the 2010 for a loaner. I did not really notice a stiffer ride the the 04 RX. The 10 is a beautiful new machine, but there is something about the exterior black on black of the earlier RX that I still love. As for the ride, maybe you should drive a few more to make a good decision. Good Luck!

The reason I asked "you guys" was because I was hoping it had something to do with the options the loaner has (I don't know much about the 2010.) Anyway, we returned the loaner today. We drove a lot for the last couple of days to get a good feel about the car. We got our 08 back and both agree the 08 drives smoother. Both of us actually had light headache but did not know it was because of the 2010 until we got our 08 back. Maybe it's just us. But we both felt the same. The car's interior is beautiful regardless. But for now, we'll keep our 08. That's our final decision!

I had leased a 2005 rx 330 and my lease ended in 2009 and I leased a new 2010 rx 350 touring. I have to say I liked the 2005 rx 330 a lot more than the 2010. The 2010 feels very cheap to me as they have removed lots of little things that they had in the second generation. Even though my 2005 had lots of transmission problems I still liked it better but the 2010 also has a crappy transmission. I liked lexus when I had the 2005 but ever since the 2010 I will probably never buy a lexus again.
