Default 2004 RX330 questions

If power lift gate and wood steering wheel became standard in 2005, were they optional for 2004? don't most 2004's also come with this?

Also, any issues with AWD in 2004, where I should avoid 2004 RX330 and look for 2005?

If you checkout the reference link at the top of this forum you will find a complete 2004 brochure, along with others for each year of production. In there you will see that leather seating and the wood/leather steering wheel were part of option packages. It was possible to get leather seats and not the wood trimmed steering wheel in some package combinations in 2004.

A low mileage 2004 would be fine if you can find one. The newer and with fewer miles on the clock would always be better. True for most purchases.

Power liftgate was standard beginning in 2004. Wood was optional. I had the performance package which did not come with the wood. I actually prefer it that way.

You might want to check this thread for issues.

You'll find headlight condensation and tranny problems (TSB for both). Bluetooth was standard beginning in 2005 model. Other than that, no big differences. Both will be out of warranty so like RX330inFL said, find a newer one with low miles. Good luck.
