Default Hard braking - paddle response

Well today we go about 15cm of snow here in Ottawa so I thought to go out and test my new snow tires on my 2004 RX330.

I was going slow, around 30km/h and slammed on my brakes. To my suprise I felt the brake peddle was bouncing under my feet. What I mean buy bunching is I can feel the brake peddle was shaking.

Is this normal? If not what can it be? When I got my winter tires put on the shop told me I still have around 60% brakes left on all the wheels.

Thanks

That's exactly it...the ABS working for you! Did it stop you from slipping and sliding?

Default Thanks

I drove other cars like BMW and Infinity before and they where all very smooth. However I did stop stright and lights and sounds where going off on the dash. I was supreised at how long it tooke to stop even with new snow tires.

Yep....The (ABS) would not allow the wheels to "lock Up" It feels weird and can be quite nerve racking while its happening, but the ABS is doing it's job!
