Default Driver seat

Hi guys,if you know how difficult is to remove the driver seat on rx 330 04 and if you have directions i will be very thankfull,i have this ongoing click noise at acceleration and deceleration in that seat for years and the dealer refused to replace the seat and it is getting worse and annoying so i may give it a shot and try to fix it thanks

Default Seat Removal

Ive never taken out the seat on my RX350. But I did on my RX300.

I just moved the seat all the way backwards. And there were 2 bolts on the front rails. I took them out. And then moved the seat all the way forward. Removed the 2 back bolts. Then I just disconnected the plastic connector for the seat motor. Seat came right out. On a 300 the subwoofer is under the passenger seat.

There was a TSB on the clicking noise, something to do with cutting a bolt...is this what the issue is? It is not the seat, it has something to do with the track...

Check out the TSB.

Do you have a copy of the TSB?

I think you can do the TSB by yourself. If I remember right, it is a matter of cutting some bolts.

Had the same noise problem with my driver's seat and it was driving me nuts. Removing the seat is really simple, just follow KeysRx300's instructions. Once you have the seat removed or tilted backwards, you'll see a pin protuding at the front of the right track next to the bolt hole. I think the noise is caused by the tip of the pin making contact with the floor pan. It seems to be covered in plastic, which wears away and then the noise starts. Just cut that pin off near the base of the track. Touch it up with some paint so it doesn't rust and then reinstall. Noise problem solved. I ended up doing the passenger seat as well before it started making the same noise.

I just tilted mine back and had enough clearance to cut the pin. It's at the front of the right track of the driver's seat (left track on the passenger seat).

I had the same problem. Into the dealer two or three times. Dealer claims to never to hear the click.

I took them for a drive and there it was. They did the TSB and it didn't fix anything.

Finally - to resolve it - they loosened the bolts - and had someone sit in the seat - while they tightened down the bolts. No more clicking in over a year!!
