help needed on start/power problems

Default help needed on start/power problems

Hi Everyone,
My parents own a 2004 RX330 (our old car). Long story short, they don't drive it and therefore had to jump start the car. After I jump started it, I removed the cables immediately and i guess the engine immediately cut off. I have not been able to start the car since. I replaced the battery, and that hasn't helped aside from give me SOME power inside the car and the keyless entry also works. A few fuses were blown and replaced those in the engine.

My problem now is.
1. Engine won't turn over at all now.
2. I have no power windows, Power seats, radio, heated seats etc.
3. But the dash lights are on, and I have power door lucks, and keyless entry work.

I checked all the engine fuses except fuses #2 (INP-J/B) and #3 (ALT), all look good but i was not able to pull #2 or #3. I even checked the SHORT(white fuse w/o amp).

I checked all the fuses in the driver side instrument panel and all those look good to. I had thought this was the problem, since fuses 35-49 sounded like the issue I have.

Can anybody shed any light on the situation? I'm 99% sure that this car will need to go back to Lexus or my mechanic to figure this out, but I'm hoping some of you might know. Since I have a feeling this is going to hurt me big time in the pocket!

Did you jump correctly + to +/- to -?

Seems that a polarity change did something.

If not, that's a whole lot mysterious!

There is a high Amperage fuse in the fuse-box [looks like a mini-brick]. This fuse can not be simply pulled out and is bolted in [to handle high current].

Check it out.

did you find out what was causing this my 2004 Lexus rx330 is doing the same thing

I was wondering if this was ever figured out because my 2004 RX330 Lexus is doing the same thing

Is the battery dead all the time? Check the fuses. If you jump start the car (assuming it will start) measure the voltage across the battery terminals after the jumper cables have been removed. With the engine running, the voltage should be at least 13.5 volts. If not, you may have a bad alternator.
