Unhappy Paint flaking in the undercarriage

I was washing my 04 RX330 and was working hard with a good stream of water on the undercarriage thinking I was cleaning mud. Little did I know that I was flaking off the black paint around the tires. Has this happened to anyone else? Can this be re-painted?

I'll bet it was rustproofing that flaked off and not paint.

Just get under carriage rust proofing spray. Just make sure you cover when you start spraying. It will also take time to dry.

Thanks. I take it that I am covering the tires.

Go to Walmart in the automotove section and picupl the 3M undercoating can. Its about 6 bucks. Take the wheel off. (Its easier) Just cover the strut assembly and the brakes.
