I have put in 2 side markers most recently (1 Toyota and 1 Honda) and have been thinking about installing side markers on our RX. Some people have commented that it does not look right and instead install the side mirror signals.

Now that I have seen an RX with a side marker, I am more convinced that I would be taking on this DIY. It should be a fairly OK DIY.

All Aussie RX330/350's have side markers as standard and I have installed JDM Indiator Mirrors as well.

More visibility equals less chance of some idiot running into you.

 

Safety for the most part, since we still do not have a very easy DIY to replace the side mirrors with the indicators on them (which is an add on for Harrier, too).

Different from the rest. Just like a TC grille (except the grille does not offer anything but aesthetics).

 

I have been checking the Scion Xb side markers, they look very close to the Harrier...I will check this out in a Toyota dealer...

 

Asking you for a favor, can you please call the dealer and ask how much the set costs?

I have found a set of original side markers from Japan. I will install it shortly and will do a DIY. These are the OEM standard side repeaters for the Harrier.

 

Here's the set I got, I will be using the clear ones.

So you will cut into the fender to install the side marker ? I hope you have it done correctly cos it's going to be costly mistake if the side markers are some how misaligned
( 1 position too tall, the other too low )
