Unhappy 2009 RX Rattle on Idle

When I start my new 2009 RX, I hear a rattling noise that seems to come from the dash. Anyone had a similar experience?

I had a suttle rattle that seemed to come from my dash around the radio, vent area. I noticed it the day I bought it and drove it off the lot. I was ready to have my dealer rip out the dash to fix it but my salesman told me to wait until the free 5,000 mile oil change as a lot of the rattles seem to settle in and fix themselves. At the 5,000 mile mark the rattle would come and go and my passengers never heard it or thought it was so suttle it would not be worth ripping the dash apart to fix it because you might just make things worse. I now have around 6700 miles and I don't hear it or I'm going deaf Anyway, I would wait for my free oil change and if you still have it you may want to have your dealer address it for you. I'm glad I waited as I said, it is gone now. That was the only issue I had with my RX350 and it has been a great car so far.

I had this issue in both my 2008 RX's. It was the brake booster check valve. The first RX was louder than the second one. They were both loud. Lexus knows of the issue. No fix!! I added Dynamat to the booster and that solved the problem.

I think Junkxus is probably right. do this test: when the vehicle is on idle, press the brake pedal and release. You should be able to simulate the noise.
