Exclamation Mirrors dont work ??

Hello. It would be great if you can help me!

On Sunday the check engine light came on with the VSC light. So, on Monday went to my mechanic and we reset the light control as there is nothing wrong with it, as well reading on line it was noted that the light goes on randomly the odd time...

ANYWAYS! i noticed on Monday night, after the reset, that the mirrors do not move. So they ARE supposed to: R position they fall down to see the lines, and in D they go back up.. but nothing in any of the gears!?

So what is wrong here? I am relatively confident that a reset of a CEL has Nothing to do with mirrors...

Any fixes with this? This is my mothers car and i always make sure its tiptop, but i am bewildered with this one...

thanks in advance,
mike

Make sure the mirror switch is turned on to R--Right or L-- Left position. The mirrors do not tilt when you reverse the vehicle, if it is in the middle position.

LOL this happened to me last night, I adjusted my side mirrors and when I put it in reverse it did not tilt down and I was thinking real hard what was the last time I did with the mirrors than I remember I adjusted them in short I accidentally figured out how to fix it by positioning it to either left or right. ha ha ha

This probably happens to everyone at some point. You get in the car and somebody's messed with your mirror L-R selector and suddenly when you back up, your mirrors just sit there and stare back at you . . . Your first thought is uh-oh, I broke something!
