When I look closely at the defroster wires in the rear window, I see there are three rows close together on passenger side at the bottom of the window. I've seen this in other cars and it's to prevent the wiper from freezing to the window in the resting position. However, the resting position for my wiper is on the driver's side. I found a picture of the back of another RX 330 on this forum and the wiper's resting position was also on the driver's side so I don't think there's anything wrong with mine. It just seems odd that the close wires are on the side where they won't do any good.

I can't answer that question. I just got the RX last week and even though I live in Michigan, we haven' had any snow since then.
