annoying driver side rattle solved!
Just thought I'd pass along some info on how I solved a rattle problem that developed last week. I was driving my wife's rx on Friday and noticed a rather annoying rattle on my left side, right by the window. It was a constant rattle and kinda surprised me, cause I never heard a rattle in the car before. I asked my wife and she told me she started noticing it last week. So I'm thinking what a pain, gotta take it to the dealer, yada yada...
I tried opening the window and noticed that when the window was just slightly bit opened the rattle dropped noticebly. When I got to our destination, I opened the window completely and pressed against the molding area with both hands all the way around where the top of the window glass usually resides. I felt just the tiniest clicking feeling as I pressed in the molding from front to back and back to front. Once we got back in the car, rattle gone. It's been a couple of days now and not a peep. Good luck on your rattle issues.

My rattle was the plastic wind deflector under the driver's side door...transmitting the sound up through the A-Pillar. Dealer claimed they couldn't re-create it, found it when I inspected under the car. Used a grinder to cut the shaky part off...no problems since. I think there's a TSB out on it. I found the grinder method quick and easy, as opposed to stopping in at the dealer - again... G/L!
