can someone show me how to set the navi to the auto dim at night? because it is so bright at night. me Ls460 is auto dim.

 

You have the dimmer roller switch set too high. My RX330 did that when I first got it. I thought something was wrong lol. Tune it down till it clicks on the dimmer roller.

 

Does your nav. go into night mode at night?

 

nope. it just like daytime. I need it in night mode. My Ls does that automatic.

Its in the menu button somewhere, there is a function in there to lock it in the day mode, my bet is that its lock on.

 

at night, when the headlights are on, bring up the "display" option on the navi screen. you will see that at some point someone set it to daytime mode. you can unselect this, and then the navi screen will be black at night and bright in the daylight.

 

Do what he said. Move the **** by the dash which controls the dashboard light's output till it clicks, and once you turn your headlights the screen will auto dim making it night mode for easier viewing.
