Default 2009 Rx 350 Just Purchased

I thought I would start a new thread since the earlier one was ore about getting a great deal on the 08's but they are almost gone. So I just bought a 2009 for $41,800.00 even as msrp is $45,981.00. I could have gotten the pebble beach edition for $700.00 more which apples to apples would of been a better deal but I could not pass up that matador metallic red. I had the smoothest transaction ever . The salesman cam out with $1000.00 over invoice on both vehicles right off the bat and I squeaked a few hundred more out just because I could. So I haven't heard many dealings on the 09's so I thought I would start one off. Now to pick up some chrome rims and tires ,a little window tinting and ,maybe lowering it and I am ready thats for sure.

Congratulations on your new RX. I bought my 2008 last month and really am enjoying it. Just curious about the window tinting you mentioned. Mine came with the rear passenger windows and the rear hatch window all tinted very dark. I just assumed that all the RX's came this way. Is yours not that way or are you talking about tinting the front passenger windows as well?

Lexus isn't big on red for some reason and they have not offered any type of red since 2002.I love a good metalic red and I was very pleased when I finally got to see it in person.
I will post pic's for sure as it goes from stock to slightly modified.

That red looks nice from the back, Lexus have been offering the same red in the IS and the GS for years.

NICE! We actually just got ours LAST NIGHT. Got it for $500 over invoice though with navigation...but there's a LONG story that comes along with that good deal...it wasn't pretty haha.

Sorry I missed your question earlier.... Yes I am going to tint both front passengers windows also. It costs about $70.00 I was quoted and I think it looks very nice.

Tell us when you get a chance. We might learn something from it.

Nice going ZIN !! you're going to love it..... Now, about tinting those windows: keep your driving out of Illinois, the LEOs here hate them, and they could cost you way more than $70.

Well, it goes like this: So a couple months back, my second oldest brother bought the GS350 AWD from Lexus of Seattle through a "friend"; his name was Rob. However, he decided to leave Seattle, and instead went to work for Bellevue. So, unaware of this, we went in to Seattle, but instead worked with two other reps (both acquaintances from the previous purchase). Anyways, a week or two went by, and we visited Bellevue while we were in the area, and they threw out an offer for, I believe it was, $100 above invoice on a fully loaded 2008 RX350 (Lexus Rebate); pulled us in. From that point, we test drove, blah blah blah; however, after checking out the 2008 and SEEING that it was a bit banged up, we pushed for a 2009 instead. We eventually got him down to about $1000 over invoice. At that point, we were ready to purchase, but my MOM felt bad since Lexus of Seattle had already done "SO MUCH", in her words, to help us. In the end, I called Lexus of Seattle and asked them to match, in which they did. HERE's the complication: somewhere in between, the prices got messed up; we were offered $38,900 + $1000 at Bellevue, which was initially without navigation. Lexus of Seattle said that they could do the same, and so we drove out there blah blah blah...sat down to sign and saw 43,xxx. THEN THE BRAWL . MY DAD WAS FURIOUS, and he basically duked it out with the manager; apparently Lexus of Bellevue said that for the 2009's, all the RXs came WITH navigation in their invoice price of $38,900 (can someone verify? apparently, this is what Rob told my dad on the side?); the manager at Seattle was arguing that all the dealership prices were the same and that the invoice price with navigation for an 09' was 41,xxx. So instead of paying 1000 over the 41,xxx invoice price, we ended up getting it for $500.00 over invoice.

...and that's all

it was late, and you could tell the FREAKING CAR LOT BOY had floored the car...you could smell it; bastard............

yeah all the dealer invoice price are the same, $41,XXX sounds about right for a invoice price on a new RX with nav.
