2005 RX330 ipod/XM/lockpick ultimate combination?
I've been reading different threads for hours and can't seem to piece together what I am looking for.. I have a 2005 RX330 with navigation and mark levinson and want to be able to hook up my ipod, listen to XM, use lockpick to unlock the nav and have video in features. Can all this be done together? I have read 3 posts now that they claim the new VAIS SL2i supports touchscreen controls on the nav for the ipod on the rx330? I didn't know that was possible with that radio because the display is below.. Is this true?
I am looking for anyone's advice on the combination of hardware I should purchase for achieving this the best way or what equipment others have sucessfully used.
Thanks a lot!
Chris

I think the video capability is one level above where most people have gone which is interesting. The SL2i doesnt have that tho there is another version of the vais product line that does, I'm sure.
I cant speak to your specific year/configuration but the vais unit gives ipod control through the nav/stereo touchscreen with satellite radio and maintains original capability for our 350. Our factory system has touchscreen control of am/fm/cd/xm to start with. Vais module doesnt add that but does maintian it and add ipod (non video to the lineup). I believe that for non touch screen applications, it allows control via the hardbuttons and you see text on the small display window as you do with the original system but I haven't seen that first hand.
Since you've done a lot of research already you probably have looked at this already but you can also go to http://www.scosche.com/what.fits and check out the AXIPTA. That is supposed to fit your year/model. I don't think it has video though.
