Is there a reliable hack for the 5th generation navigation system that makes it fully usable while the vehicle is in motion? If yes, please provide details on how to activate this. Thanks.

 

Depends on your software version. On older versions (I think I have 5.1), you would go to the "volume" screen, tap the top left, bottom left, top left corners, and another window would pop up. There you'd hold down the "override" button for two seconds, the unit will beep, then you can back out of the menu and have full access to the nav controls while the car is in motion for that trip only. The next time you start the car, you must repeat the process.

I don't believe the override code has been discovered for the v 6.1 or 7.1 discs yet.
