PS - The photos shown in my blog ARE NOT me, just some fun photos of things I have done in my RX, but those photos are not me.

Although I don't have our RX330 anymore, nor do I "Love" any car although I may really like some of them I would have no problem buying the next generation if I liked what I see. Since I owned this current body style for 4 years I'm pretty much done with it, but if the new style turns out to be really nice it would be among the top choices on my SUV list, if I bought another SUV. Either way though I'll never buy another first year run. Too much little problems and also no after market mod support.

Likes: *Perfect size for 5, and very generous cargo hauling capacity. *Power rear door has come in handy numerous times! Love it. *Fuel economy: Has been pretty good. Never did calculate MPG, but a full tank would usually last about 400 miles.

Dislikes: *Engine noise & power: The deep humm when accelerating would be great if the RX moved as fast as it sounds! . *No MP3 port: Didn't have an iPod back in '03, but I've got one now, and the cassette adapter is just nasty!?! *Tranny: I had the updated done, but it still sometimes shifts like a person who can't drive stick

Overall, I love my RX. I'd definitely get the new one, but we'll see...

I was as happy with my RX300 the day I traded it in as the day I drove it home for the first time. I'm even happier with my RX350, and expect to remain so. I fully expect to buy another Lexus when I trade this one in in a few years.

This is to JAMESFABIN........
I read your blog. I had to LOL when I read your complaint about Lexus' pricing for service. This from a person who trades in a car annually or less.
How much do you figure your loss on deprication is for all those cars? Do you splurge for premium gas?

But, glad you like your car. You have a lot of ownership experience and maybe better insight than most.

Default Rx350

I had a 300 for almost 4 years. And just purchsed a 350 four months ago. I love my car. And I appreciate it more whenever I am in a friends car. What would I like to change? Wider arm rest. MP3 hook up. But I took care of those myself. Just need the keyless ignition.

Bought a CPO '04 RX in Feb-'06. In 20k miles of driving I replaced a front caliper after 2 terrible front end shaking incidents while driving on the NYS Thruway @ 65mph(service dept. found no problem), rear wheel bearings, tranny cooler, all 4 door sliders, dash removed to quiet squeaks/rattles, & moonroof parts due to rattling noise. Brakes just needed to be replaced, and of course they MUST change the rotors even though they were new when I bought the car, and more. The Goodyear tires got flat spots when sitting overnite too. Service Dept. copped an attitude and so did mgmt when I complained about the (ab)used car. Complaints fell on deaf ears locally and of course Lexus Customer Service was of "Truly Outstanding" NO HELP.
I pick up my new '08 Acura MDX Thursday and can't wait. Test drove several and liked it very very much. I will NEVER get another RX and probably not another Lexus.

Won't buy another brand. Now on my 3rd Lexus and 2nd RX. All vehicles have been exceptional in terms of build quality and have always met my needs. Service from Lexus Australia has been outstanding also with nothing ever too much trouble and mostly without cost. Servicing costs have been minimal and there haven't been any surprises (unlike past BMW's and Audi's). I basically bought my RX350 in january without a test drive of any sort and didn't (really) consider any other vehciles. BTW. All of mine have been made in Japan.

In other words, still love it.
