As I understand it there are about 100 speech commands on the system. Only a few are listed in the manual and some additional commands are available when you press "help" after you have pressed the speech command button on the steering wheel, but these don't come close to 100 commands

Does anyone have a complete list of these commands?

No actually the Navigation manual is the manual I was referring to and they only have a couple of commands.

At one time I went into the NAV menu and found a list of commands. I wrote them down on an hand wrtten list - and, of course, lost that piece of paper

Play around, the list is in your NAV somewhere.

 

Thanks to the previous poster with links to voice command lists. I was having trouble with search so thought I'd ask. The links led me to a very complete list, but it didn't have bluetooth phone commands that I could find. So I did a search and found a nice simplistic list with bluetooth commands too!

I have an 08 model and it doesn't recognize any command regarding A/C. Voice command works for everything but those for the A/C system. Anyone have the same problem?

 

They don't work on my 2008 either.

There was a commercial for the RX out about 3 months ago that showed the system responding with an "AC On" verbal feedback. My dealer didn't know how to get the car to say that....by voice or button.

 

I know "Audio On" and "Audio Off" turns on and off the stereo, respectively, but I haven't tried the "AC" on or off, yet. I'll try it tomorrow afternoon--my RX is at the dealer and my loaner RX doesn't have speech commands.

cant do the a/c temp thing on my rx either. i printed out a more extensive list from another thread, it has way more stuff than the above file...i.e. "mexican food" used that one last night! you can ask for pretty much any kind of food. "hide poi" or "hide icons" do the same thing. there are so many that arent in the book, they are probably there, but who the hell reads War And Peace looking for a couple of words!?!?

I printed it out smaller and taped it to my visor as a "Cheat Sheet"!

My salesman told me a handy one to use with the Voice Command button:
Just say, "I'M HUNGRY" and all the restaurant icons show up!

Anybody know of any other voice commands that are unusual and work?

 

Yes I am having trouble with the voice commend system on my GS350. Maybe I will contact the dealer and ask them for more help.
