Default Clunk noise when coming to a stop

Hi there

I have a 2005 Rx 330 and when coming to a complete stop I hear a clunk noise coming from either the transfer case or transmission. The dealer has been unable to identify the problem but they reprogrammed the computer but ni change. Has anyone else experienced this problem

Thank you

Great forum BTW

This indicates a possible defect of a CV joint in one of the drive shafts.

As you mentioned a transfer case, considering the RX is an all wheel drive model.

There is one drive shaft, or axle shaft per wheel.

Each drive shaft has an inner and outer CV joint, enclosed in a rubberized plastic boot.

Listen for the sound occurring to the left or right of center; front or rear of center.

Perhaps a suggestion of inspection of the CV joints and propeller shaft U-joints and carrier bearings if the noise continues.

Be patient, but persistent on the warranty resolution if the problem is intermittent ...
