Hi All:

I got a 06' RDX 330, with Nav and also the dvd player in the rear.

I would like to know... when car in park (parking brake applied or whatever...) can there be a way that the NAV screen shows the video that the player in the back is playing ??

Not interested in watching while driving, but I do a lot of waiting in the car... so, if possible, time will past much faster....


Willing to try most combos (button pushing / menu nav-ing...), but don't want to open and cut wires...

yes. the factory Rear SEat Ent System can be viewed in the front on the nav screen by:

(1) have the car stopped (0 mph)
(2) applying the manual parking brake

you press DISC to get to the DVD, at that time the sound will come thru the speakers and video as well. the controls for the DVD can be operated via touchscreen from the front nav screen (instead of remote).

FYI - there is a hack to watch while in motion (like for a front passenger) but that involves cutting and ground wires. i have done it and it's fairly painless. a lot of people like the hack if they have kids and need to control the DVD for the little ones that can't use the remote.
