Also known as Intuitive Parking Assist

Contrast with the Intelligent Parking Assist in the 4LS which does the driving for you.

The Intuitive Parking Assist is exactly what I am talking about! Do we know if that is available with the RX350. It is phenomenal for parking. Not a necessity just curious.

Thanks again!

Default Park Assist is a Sedan feature and not offerred..

on the Lexus Sport Utes possible due to the height of the bumpers or the increased likelihood of damage to the sensors. ( They are about $300 each. BTW, the more I drive the RX350 the more I'm convinced that just like Neo, it is the one.....

Awesome, excited to test drive 'the one'.

And maybe I'm not being clear on the parking assist. On the Infiniti it has no sensors or beeping like on the BMW, etc. The backup camera actually has guidelines in it. There are 2 sets:
1 set shows the distance and is fixed on the display. Green is 10ft away from your bumper, Yellow is 3-5 feet and Red is within a foot. Very useful.

The other set of guidelines are what sets that system apart: These guidelines (it's actually more like a flexing rectangle) turns when you turn your steering wheel. It shows you exactly where your car WILL GO when you back up. As I mentioned you literally can thread a needle with this system.

On the back of the car, there is nothing more than the normal fisheye camera. The lines are just in the display. Again, if you haven't seen this technology you should check out an M just to see how the system works.

Thanks again for the info on the 350. Getting psyched now!

Default I think the guidelines are a nice touch...

One of our Finance Mgrs. has an FX45 and she was blocked on our parking lot the other night. I told her that I thought there was enough room to maneuver out of the jam. I took her keys and looked at the backup screen, the mirrors and over my shoulder. I was able to backup slowly but surely through a maze of parked SUV's and cars. The line overlay symbolized the depth when backing up. When you get close to the sides I used her mirrors. It would have been much harder without the camera view. The new generation VGA screen on the Lexus is much sharper than the Infiniti or previous Lexus. The name Lexus is embossed on the rear bumper cover. You can easily read it even though it is backwards. The new Navigation graphics are clean and easier to read with their 3D shadow. The FX had a nice view you could change to horizon and get a perception of how far the next city was. Once you see the new Lexus nav you will not want to go back to an earlier generation system. It is very fast and very slick....
