350 showing on the RX portion of the Lexus website now. But 'build your lexus' still has the 330.

The 1/4 mile times Lexus posts, 15.5 (FWD), 15.7 (AWD), seem a little more conservative (or maybe realistic for a change). I applaud Lexus for finally coming out with this high hp machine.
Hopefully, I can encourage some of you RX350 owners to hop out to the track.

even though its FWD, do u think now Infiniti FX35 buyers will give the new EX a glance because it has enough power to go head to head probably with the FX?

I am not sure what the reasons are behind people looking at the FX series. Personally, I like the styling and power, but it lacked a lot in features compared to the RX330 for comparison. Now, if you are a performance freak like I am, yes, you would give it another look. I though RX350 was AWD, too?Originally Posted by AJL0365

Real performance "freak" will neither look at the RX nor the FX. But if one have to consider all the compromises, like cargo/passenger space, reliability, gas mileage, etc, then one may look at the FX or maybe the RX350. A person who have "considerations" in mind is not a "freak" after all

The website claims 0-6 in 7.4. I believe the my 2004 takes 7.8? I definitely thought the 350 would have a way better time than that
maybe even in the 6's??
I'm going to wait for the new body ('09?)...

I believe they changed the differential gears when they went to the 350. Now like a 3.20 gear instead of a 3.40 gear. Too bad they didn't leave the 3.40 gear. Not positive on this just what I thought I read somewhere. Originally Posted by NeverSatisfied

Both vehicles are good for the reasons you mentioned, but if the RX350 has all the coveniences and then some of the RX330, I will take that any day over the FX35 or even the FX45.Originally Posted by JZA80MHU38

I had lunch today have some friends down here with boatloads of cash (I don't) and they want a high powered SUV (even if it is a modified one), but they all turned down the Cayenne and the higher powered X5s. They actually wish either the FX or even the new RX was down here.

Is Lexus or Infiniti available in Mexico (if Mexico is what you mean by "down here)? If they are not I can tell why they want the FX or the RX over the Cayenne if they have boatload of cash -- they just want something "different".Honestly, if I have boatload of cash, I will get a Cayenne Turbo S over the RX400h. Oh, what the heck, why not both if I have boatload of cash
Your friend should consider the Audi Q7 4.2. That's a very nice vehicle.
