Maybe it's the bad tire noise that's actually what nopcbs is hearing -- those Michigan concrete road and potholes sure can generate a lot of noise.

Or he's a UAW member j/k

I need to wash her, she's pretty dirty though. I went from having a white car to Flint Mica which I can tell is not going to be easy to keep clean!
The RX330 looks best in Flint Mica! After a little more than a year my wife still absolutely loves hers, still comments at times how quiet and smoothe it is. Enjoy the car you have, most people will never have one as nice.

I used the fact that the 350 was coming in order to get an even better deal on my 06 330

I enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing this is not a first model year vehicle and has all of the bugs worked out of it

and since the 350 is just an engine upgrade its not that much of a loss

more hp = less gas mileage

this thing already sucks the gas down so why make things worse for 40hp? I feel the 330 has sufficient power for what it is already

The 350 will have better gas mileage than the 330, by roughly 8% according to factory information.

I agree Frank, it has enough power for me so far- I'm not complaining!
Ya I'm not getting that great of gas mileage (too bad!!), and I wasn't really expecting to. Do you put 91 in yours?

Jaydunn- That's great that your wife still loves her's after a year So she has flint mica too? I was worried it was too dark and I couldn't choose between that or white and finally my dad got tired of me standing there staring at the cars and was like ok we are taking the flint mica. I was just happy to even get the car! What color is her interior??

There is actually a Sunoco near my house with 93 so I try to fillup there whenever possible

I just drove from FL to NY @85MPH and averaged 18.5MPG

She has flint mica with the ivory interior. I thought this interior would show dirt/dust easily but it doesn't seem too bad at all.

The RX330 powertrain is remarkably unrefined. Engine noisey and weak with poor mileage while the transmission is similarly unrefined. Whatever they did to the RX350, it cannot be worse.

Frankly, the noisey engine of our RX330 reminds me of cheap FWD GM rentals I have had. Toyota should be embarassed. They wend from something as velvet smooth as our '92 LS400 to the RX330???

GM has nothing to be ashamed of if this is the best Toyota can do.

I don't think you were driving a Lexus!!! You musta been driving a GM or Ford car. My RX330 is "Very" quiet and smooth.

You sound like an old IT manager we had who wouldn't buy a new computer . . . every time he went to buy one, he learned something BETTER was coming out. First geek I ever saw unwilling to buy a new computer!

Relax, there will always be something newer out there with some feature you wish you had . . . just enjoy what you have and think of all the new stuff you can get when you trade in a few years! Trust me, you're gonna love it!

Don't worry about the naysayers - some would complain if their RX only had a blown 427 in it producing 1200 horsepower. For them, there's never enough. (insert Tim Taylor grunt here) Notice that they'd be the same ones to complain that it didn't get 40 mpg either!

For them we offer an interim solution:

Nopcbs i couldn't agree more with you. I am not pleased with my 05 fully loaded RX330( RES, and towing package) at all. Let me start out to say that after 5K on the odo the RX started to act up. When it's shifting gear's.. especially 1st, 2nd gear's, then dash started to make noise. Right passenger door noise, rear left passenger power door lock makes noise when open, and locking is pressed. Now, that it's snowing both outside mirrors get ice inside, and they are making nosie until the ice melt (bad engineering rite there). My right headlight assembly got condentsation in them after they took it in for car wash after serviced. The vent trim pieces did not line up right for a $48K car. Ok, so everything so far is fixed except this one last thing from day one. For some reason everytime i slow down, accelerate or if i'm just braking, and accleratring around 35 to 40mph i kept hearing "clunk, clunk" from the drive shaft to the rear wheels. It just sound like there is too much play between the drive shaft, and the rear axle. I had lexus look at it, and the only thing they told me is there isn't a fix for it right now. And you know what the damn car has 9K on the odo, and the clunking sound is still there. The reason i bought a lexus was for a piece of mine, and quiet that's all, but now that i have spent some time with it the car pisses me off with server engine noise, boat like ride, and poor built quality. One last bash, when it rains sometimes the brakes have a hard time gripping so the damn car shake all over. I don't want to make others on this forum to be pissed at me for saying these things, but, it is what i am experiencing, and the noise is still there. I really want to get rid of this car bad, but the wife loves it because for her it is not a big deal she say now, but when she first got it she complain that there better be no miles on it or i don't want it. Now that i think about it i would rather have a few hundred miles on it then having all this BS. I all so have concluded that i will never buy an expensive car that is a high volume car like the RX, and ES ever again because of quality issues. I can say this because my 03 GS430 has been beatiful to me with out any problems or BS at all, and the only thing i took her in is for oil change, and she is modded, and still performs better then stock. I will end this by saying good luck, enjoy, and learn from experince. My RX330 .

I hope mine doesn't have problems like you experienced...

Everytime I see mine in the garage I go like this haha!

She's just so pretty! At times I feel like a mom driving it, it's not too much of a younger persons car

Lexy GS430, I feel your pain even though I have a hard time following what you are trying to say and the problems you mentioned you have with your RX. Which dealer in Ohio are you dealing with for these matters? With so many problems, did you try to have them buy the car back from you through lemon law?

Default It's new! Enjoy it!

Maybe you should have waited for the 350, but then again, maybe you should wait a couple more years for the 370 or whatever. You have a new Lexus, so just enjoy it! As for the engine noise, I had a 98 GS300 that was very quiet at idle, once on the road it was still quiet but there was some road noise and wind noise. My RX330 Thundercloud purchased in July 2005 is every bit as quiet at idle and equally quiet on the road as you would expect from Lexus. Sure sometimes there's a bit of road noise or wind noise but hey ride in some other brands then back in the Lexus and you'll notice the difference. After you own any vehicle for awhile you start to notice a couple things you may not like or think they should have done it differently but that goes for any brand of vehicle. I've noticed a couple shortcomings but still overall it's better than most brands out there. So just enjoy the new ride!
