Default I got it!

Today my dad went to Longo Lexus and bought me that '06 RX400h i've been pestering him about.

It's Bamboo Pearl (wasn't my first choice, but i'm not complaining) and the only options added were the heated front seats (w/ rain sensing wipers), and the Mark Levinson sound system.

Quick question...what are those latch things hanging on the bottom of the pull out cover thing in the trunk (i know it's vague but i'm really tired and i can't remember what they're called).

And another one...why doesn't the car beep when i leave the lights on and take out the key?

I like how the car drives and stuff i'm just a little disappointed with the interior. Doesn't seem to be enough buttons (then again i'm used to MB's 10 trillion buttons).

Those things hanging from the hatch cover clips to the rear seat headrest posts. You will notice they all line up nicely

Back to the topic. I believe the headlights doesn't have a chime warning when you leave it on and remove the key because as far as I knew the headlights automatically turn off even if you leave it in the ON posistion when you remove the key and open the door. I could be wrong though as I haven't really left my lights on too often before.

Gentlemen, let's try to stay within the bounds of the rules we all agreed to when we joined this forum regarding personal issues. We appreciate your cooperation.

CK6 is right - the headlights do self-extinguish eventually, but another feature you may not have noticed is that the doors cannot be locked with a key in the ignition. If you are brave, you can try it, but I suggest you have another key in your pocket for this test.

With the key in the ignition, engine off, open the driver's door and flip the lock button . . . notice the doors lock, but the driver's door immediately unlocks, preventing you from locking yourself out of your car.
