Default Harrier 2DIN radio kit

Well, for those that are interested in installing an aftermarket radio into the RX330 here is the dash kit for the Toyota Harrier. I finially received it in the mail. In the pictures that someone else posted long ago it shows the product with a center black plastic cover plate. I did not get this part. I will have to make my own custom trim. However, the aftermarket DIN radios slide right in between the metal mounting brackets so it will fit. The mounting brackets line up to the OEM mount points so it should be plug and play. I do not have any part numbers, but it is a Toyota part and my contact simply got it from the Japan Toyota dealer. The first small picture shows the black cover plate, and the second larger picture shows my actual product I recieved.

Speaking of audio, how's your 330's CD player holding up? Like clockwork, mine has to be replaced this Friday. Error 4 is the message. Same problem in my old IS, which had 2 new players put in.

I always listen to CD's while driving. Do you think it's too hard on the player?? I'm at about 21K miles and 1.5 years old) Or do Lexus CD players plain suck?

From what I hear, those convenient front loading trayless CD players always fail after a few years. The ones with cartridge are far more reliable, but a pain in the b*tt to load. (Like what I have in the 2002 RX300.)

I hear 'ya. My Prelude's single disc was flawless, until the odo turned 36K, right as my warranty ran out; luckily the service guy was cool and ordered me a new one. Changed only once in the Prelude, twice in the IS and so far once in the RX.

I never had a problem with mine yet. Hopefully I never will I can't say we use it everyday, but we use it often enough.
