Bluetooth aftermarket for RX330?
Greetings:
First let me say that I am new here so I apologize if I am not doing this exactly correct! I am a PROUD owner of a new 2005 RX330 with Premium Plus package. I want to install a bluetooth car kit so that I can use my Treo650 phone. However, I am SO overwhelmed with what to get. Does anyone have any recommendations on what kit works best with the Lexus or the Treo650? Thanks in advance for the info.....

Sorry, can't help you. Since you don't have the nav system, anything that works aftermarket for your phone should work. I would assume that there's something out there, and the obvious answer is to go ask your local phone provider. But you've probably done that.

More on the PalmOne website info
I assume you noticed in the PalmOne website list that the only non-OEM bluetooth carkits currently certified by PalmOne for the Treo 650 are from Parrot: http://www.driveblue.com/
The Parrot kits look nice and you will likely find opinions about them on this and on the Howard forums http://www.howardforums.com/ which has a section devoted to Bluetooth and which includes this post from a Parrot employee http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...hreadid=511176
I feel really fortunate that http://www.dashmount.co.uk/ is selling a "converter cradle" that allows the new tiny Nokia Bluetooth "pop port" phones like the 6230 to work in traditional Nokia car kits like we have. I noticed this offering just last week.
Hopefully your RX330's audio system has an easily found mute point where you can connect the Bluetooth kit's mute wire. An electrical diagram for your car might show a mute point (labeled TEL MUTE on the diagram for our LS) or a really good phone installer could likely figure it out. We missed a lot of incoming calls while listening to loud music until we got the audio mute to work in our cars.

would be nice to find an aftermarket kit that leverages the microphone in the rearview mirror as well as the speaker system in the car if thats possible. if its not possible then a stand alone speaker system might be ok but muting of the cars audio system would be very important.
must have:
car audio mute on inbound calls
rear view microphone integration
desirable:
car stereo speakerphone
my .02
anyone found/done anything like this?

anyone installed either the parrot
http://www.parrot.biz/usa/products/3200ls-color
or the motorola
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-IHF10...655632-3043664
or the BlueAnt
http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Hand...655632-3043664
does the Lexus have the auxilliary 'mute' option that seems to be employed by the products above?

We used the Grom Audio Lexus Integration kit and added Bluetooth to it on our 2006 RX we previously owned and it worked pretty well.
