My girlfriend seen a motorcyclist on the ground, he seemed to have crashed his bike and flew pretty far. There was a Rx330 parked in the accident scene . I hope it wasn't from the transmission. She said he looked badly hurt. This was a couple days after i told her about this thread.

Kinda scared to buy a newer lexus now.
okkkkkkkkkkkkkk buddy. i bet the tranny blew up and the RX ran over the motorcyclist are you scared of the boogieman too?
I have two cars that are "drive by wire", same driving habits, different results. While I receive absolutely no hesitation on my other car, it is very noticeable on my RX.
It’s not the technology, it the way Lexus incorporated it into this car. I can’t understand why the Lexus engineers can’t find a solution to this. I’m sure if they asked nicely, Chevy (makers of my other car) could help them fix it.
Chevy Corvette?
Note that I said true "drive-by-wire." There are two different "drive-by-wire" technology. The RX300 also boast "drive-by-wire," but it's really just smart fuel management - there's still a steel cable that goes from the gas pedal to the throttle body. My understanding is that the RX330 is truly drive-by-wire.

No cable on the C5 or C6 Corvettes, It's computer operated and the gas pedal is only a control.

I haven't. I'm living with it since I have no other choice other than selling it. For now, I don't intend to sell it, I need the room. I'll be very happy to trade it for a sedan as soon as I can do without the extra space.
