Default Rx330 Air Intake Sensor Mod 20hp Chip

Hi,

When I browse the e-bay i found the RX330 AIR INTAKE SENSOR MOD 20HP CHIP.
Is it possible?

Performance Intake Sensor Mod

Adds Up To 10 to 20 HPs Your car

This mode willmodify your stock ECU with a Timing Advance Resistor Mod. Once the resistor is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air. This will give you the power that you want for your car without spending all that money. This generic modification is a fraction of the cost of the expensive $300+ECU upgradees, this is extremely easy to install, and does virtually the same thing, adds UP TO 20 HP.

Ebay garbage. Beware. Old e-bay scam that people get suckered into buying...especially if they didn't know any better.

Another thing you shouldn't get is the Tornado Fuel Saver, it's junk.

The shop that I worked for did a dyno on a Civic with the Tornado and it lost 5HP. The owner told us to go ahead and take it out because we were going to be adding a Turbo for him. When tuning the car later, we couldn't figure out what was holding the motor back. Ends up the guy had two in the intake .... on by the filter .... and one by the intake manifold.

It would be better to spend more money and remap the ECM/ECU.

One of my future projects with my 99 RX would be to add a modified supercharger or a small turbo (still do not think there is enough room) along with some headers.

If I were to do that now without a remap (and possibly a tougher differential), I would get no benefit whatsoever.

Good luck remapping the ECU, Toyota/Lexus ECU's are the hardest to decode. Unless you do a standalone, it's not going ot happen.
