Default Navigation HACK

Coming from a BMW 3 series with Navigation, it is very difficult to stop every time I need to make a change to my RX330 Navigation. Is there a hack to the navigation where I will not need to stop to make changes?

If I remember on the RX300 there was some wire you needed to ground. You find it and hook up a toggle switch because if you leave it grounded all the time the navigation will get confused or something like that.
