RX330 Can Bus Broken
My car is a 2006 Japanese Toyota Harrier which I believe is the same as the RX330. It's an old car but I like it; being old allows me to tinker with it.
Due to certain issues that I have been having, which I will explain below, I had been checking the can bus via the OBD connector with a scope. Voltage levels look good with CANH (yellow), CANL(Blue) and Math being CANL-CANH in red. (my mistake - forgot to switch the operators, it should have been CANH - CANL.)
Anyway, the screenshot I got is below, with a zoomed version in the second image.
The frame shown appears to me to be non standard as compared to other vehicles and devices I've checked but I'm not sure. However, the other issues I'm having include
- Unable to retrieve data via VCX Nano and TechStream
- Unable to retrieve data via ELM327. This used to be able to work.
- Engine & VSC lights permanently on.
- Suspension a bit stiff(?)
If you have any suggestions for trouble shooting this issue, I'd be very grateful. My initial thought was to look at J/C1 and J/C2 but I've had some trouble identifying them... The connectors in the Japanese service manuals appear to be different and I don't know why that is.
Anyway, hoping someone can help out.
Thanks.
