Headlight Switch Issue
Hey all,
Just picked up my first Lexus, a 2004 RX330 at 186,xxx miles, so still finding little quirks as the 3rd owner.
We noticed the headlight switch does not exactly work the way it says it should in the manual. Mechanism appears to be nearly identical to my 09 Pontiac Vibe GT, but lights are functioning very differently at each click.
Main thing is at AUTO it at most turns on the fog lights, and then the fog light switch doesn't really do anything, sometimes turns off the headlights completely depending on what click the main dial is at.
Not super experienced with cars but have done wiring for a subwoofer, just wanting to know where I should start. Minneapolis area.

Are there any hard wired aftermarket accessories that could have resulted in this problem? Such as an alarm or remote start?
Otherwise it may be time to just replace the headlight switch stalk. There are plenty of used ones on eBay etc. and YouTube videos on how to do it.
